Jewish Foundation School
What years did you attend JFS?
When did you graduate from JFS?
What is your favorite memory from JFS?
Running for GO president
What was your favorite class at JFS? Why?
Math with Mrs. Edelman; She always treated me as an individual and did what was best for me to learn. I had always loved math & had often been given a hard time if I didn't show all of my work on exams, etc., but she let me work my own way. I also loved Jewish History with Morah Brundy; You could tell how smart & passionate she was about what we were learning.
Did you have a favorite teacher?
Mrs. Edelman, Morah Brundy & Morah Wolfson
Where do you live now?
Tell us a little about your family:
I'm married to Jason Reiz, and we have a two-year-old daughter. My husband is from Miami originally, which is what brought us down to Florida.
Where did you continue on your educational journey after JFS?
Bruriah for high school, Midreshet Moriah for seminary, a brief stint in Queens college & eventually graduated from FIT.
Can you tell us about your current career?
I'm the national sales manager for Eberjey. I have been working in fashion for the last ten years. I'm currently responsible for overseeing all major volume accounts such as Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus, etc.
What is one value or lesson from your years in JFS that influenced your adult life?
We had a lot of great teachers and shabbatons throughout the years there that opened us up to different communities. I was able to learn that just because some may seem more 'religious' or lead different lifestyles you can still coexist and learn from each other.
Are you still in touch with any of your classmates, teachers, or fellow students from JFS?
I'm in touch with a handful of classmates - mostly those who were family friends.
